Home to the ICES Secretariat since 1902, the Danish capital is a compact maritime city that consistently tops the lists of the world's most livable cities. Surrounded by historic buildings, calm waterways, narrow curved streets, fashionable shopping, and a lively nightlife, it is easy to feel right at home here.
ICES Secretariat looks forward to welcoming the marine science community to Copenhagen and to DGI-Byen, right in the heart of Copenhagen.
DGI-Byen, a newly refurbished modern conference centre, is located in the old industrial meatpacking district of Copenhagen which is quite apparent in the surrounding architecture.
A good selection of hotels, restaurants, and cafes, at a range of budgets, are located close to the conference centre. Please see the link on the right for some selected hotels in the vicinity.
If you have any questions about Copenhagen, accommodation, or the conference centre, please contact the conference coordinator: [email protected]
