How to join the advisory process as an expert:
Benchmark and Data Compilation Workshops are public meetings. If you have relevant qualifications related to the work of a particular group and are interested in joining, you may contact ICES Secretariat with the title of the group and an outline of your interest and qualifications in the field of study or contact your national delegate directly.
Advisory Expert Group members are nominated by their national delegate. If you have relevant qualifications related to the work of a particular group and are interested in joining, you may contact ICES Secretariat with the title of the group and an outline of your interest and qualifications in the field of study or contact your national delegate directly.
Advice Drafting Group members are nominated by the national Advisory Committee member or delegate. If you have relevant qualifications related to the work of a particular group and are interested in joining you may contact your national ACOM member or delegate.
The Advisory Committee meetings in which advice is finalized are attended by ACOM members or alternates but ICES experts may sit in as observers in these meetings, you may contact the advisory section of the ICES Secretariat with the title of the meeting you wish to observe.
How to join the advisory process as an observer:
Benchmark and Data Compilation Workshops, Review and Advice Drafting Group as well as ACOM meetings are open to observers from governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental organizations and individuals, after application for observer status has been approved by ICES.
To apply for observer status, send an email to the ICES Secretariat with your name, affiliation, an outline of your aims and purposes as well as interest in ICES, and the name of the ICES meeting or activity you wish to observe.
