ICES coordinates several surveys under the SCICOM/ACOM Steering group on integrated ecosystem observation and monitoring (SSGIEOM).
Surveys can be single purpose or have multiple objectives to get data across several disciplines. The data is used for traditional fisheries assessments, integrated assessments, and to obtain further knowledge of our marine ecosystems.
The aim of this open session is discuss different aspects of the ICES coordinated surveys, including survey overviews, how to report from surveys, survey design, and e-infrastructure to support the surveys.
We will use the opportunity to seek feedback from the survey expert groups on these topics, and the survey expert groups are encouraged to be represented and participate actively in the discussions.
