In this page end users can check latest news on many aspects of the Acoustic trawl surveys data portal, from small format changes such as new vocabularies, to large changes affecting the submission format, but also interesting issues regarding upcoming workshops, StoX related news, and a wide variety of topics handled by WGAcousticGov.

- New check: if SubsamplingFactor is reported 1, then SubsampledNumber and SpeciesCategoryNumber should be equal if reported.

From Q3 2025:
- In the log-in area it is possible to mark warnings as valid, for own submissions.
- The date of the last validation report is now visible in the menu icon of each submission.
From Q2 2025:
Updated submission grid with new UI and improved functionality:
- Validation & Consistency Reports accessible from the menu.
- Color-Coded Menu Icons indicate warnings or errors in submissions.
- Priority Sorting: Submissions with errors now appear first when logged in.
- View My Submissions" lets logged-in users filter their own submissions.
Format updates:
From 1st December 2025:
- A new field called LengthUnit will be added to both Catch and Biology sections of the biotic format. It is conditionaly mandatory when LengthCode is submitted. The input values will be either cm or mm.
- LengthCode will be renamed LengthResolution.
