Never before has ICES community been so in demand. Increasing competition for marine space, competing blue economy and conservation interests, and the progression of ecosystem-based management lead to increasing demands for ecosystem-informed science and advice. This requires adaptability, horizon scanning, innovation, collaboration, transparency, improved communication, and transdisciplinarity.
Inspired by Family Fortunes/Family Feud, this participatory session is designed to capture the pulse of the community and emerging 'hot topics'. What are the challenges faced by the community? What are the emerging opportunities?
Conference participants will have the opportunity to take part by filling out a survey in advance of the session. The ICES Science and Advice 'families' will compete live on stage to see who can best match the answers of ICES community.
Join us, as we learn from the community, and chart our way forward in a session that promises glitz, glamour, and a whole lot of new knowledge!
