Newcastle True Crime Tour

Join our local expert & embark on a tour around the oldest & most historic areas of the city whilst learning about its darker, often violent past.

Begin your tour from the heart of the city at Earl Grey's Monument and take a walk on the dark side of Newcastle & revisit some of the scenes of murder, intrigue & suspense that rattled this Tyneside city. 

Highlights include:
Fascinating anecdotes and stories of true crimes haunting the city
Stories of witch hunts in graveyards
Hidden stairs & streets in medieval Newcastle
Bigg Market & castle keep areas at dusk or in the dark (the lighting is fascinating)
Quayside & hidden secrets along the riverside

Max number of participants: The visit is limited to a number of 25 participants and seats will be given on a first come, first served basis. ​

Fee: 30€​

Registration: Sign up for the excursion at the same time as you register for the ASC. If you have already registered for the conference, send us an email and we will send you a excursion registration link.  ​

Your registration is binding once you have received a confirmation from ICES. Please make sure to cancel your slot if you are unable to attend. There will be a waiting list if the interest exceeds the limited number.​​​​​
