Travel funds for early career scientists

 Applications for travel funding will open in late April!

​Limited travel funds are available for younger scientists from ICES member countries. First-time participation in the ASC is especially encouraged.

In order to be eligible for funds, scientists must meet the following requirements:

  • be 35 years of age or younger OR have completed their PhD within the last five years
  • be a national of and have an affiliation in one of ICES member countries
  • have had an abstract submitted and accepted by the conveners

Submitted applications will be assessed on the basis of the following criteria:

  • originality of work as shown in abstract
  • significance of the work to one of the theme sessions
