The oceanographic database accepts data from different observation types - high resolution CTD, discrete water samples, thermosalinograph/ferry box, moorings and XBT data for a number of parameters:
Temperature, Salinity, Oxygen, total Phosphorus, Phosphate, total Nitrogen, Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonium, Silicate, Hydrogen Sulphide, pH, Alkalinity and Chlorophyll a
In order to submit your oceanographic data, you will need to prepare your data following the
ICES Oceanographic data submission format, and validate your data as part of the submission process before final upload into the database.
Please login using your ICES account credentials to be able to submit (validate and upload) your data.
A completed Cruise Summary Report (CSR) for each cruise is recommended to be submitted as well.
The ICES Data and Information Group (DIG) has developed a set of data type guidelines to assist those involved in the collection, processing, quality control and exchange of various types of physical oceanographic data.
