According to the UN’s Ocean Decade goals, an inspiring and engaging ocean is one where society understands and values the ocean in relation to human wellbeing and sustainable development.
Participants from different ocean science disciplines will hear about science communication techniques and methods, and are invited to present on topics such as their experiences in science communication through various media, and engaging and collaborating with stakeholders, rights-holders, decision-makers, and the public.
