Clarissa Akemi Kajiya Endo holds a B.Sc. in Oceanography from the University of São Paulo, a M.Sc. in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research Brazil, and a PhD. in Marine Ecology from the University of Oslo in a collaborative project between the Institute of Marine Research in Bergen and the University of Oslo.
In the doctoral research, she used coupled biological-physical models to study the early life stages of fish and the factors and processes affecting them and their survival in the Barents Sea. She has special interest in marine connectivity and recruitment and how they are impacted by possible environmental changes.
She is currently working at Åkerblå in Norway as an oceanographer evaluating ocean currents for aquaculture installations.
