This symposium will bring international scientists together to address the integration of probabilistic and non-probabilistic methods in fisheries surveys. Recommendations will be developed to assist in future-proofing sampling methods.
The Swedish University of Agricultural Science, along with international research partners, invites you to the beautiful village of Fiskebäckskil on the west coast of Sweden for this exciting symposium.
The potential for non-probability surveys to enhance fisheries data collection has generated a lot of interest. Integrating probability and non–probability sampling has exciting potential to deliver cost–effective and robust estimates.
Participants of the symposium can look forward to insights from a lineup of expert keynote speakers, covering a range of perspectives and topics, including survey methods, novel methods, marketing panels, analytical approaches, and big data through different lenses. Interactive discussions will guide a dynamic exchange of ideas, and create opportunities to forge a way forward, contributing to the development of new methods and ways of thinking.
Abstract submissions - deadline extended
Researchers are invited to
submit abstracts for poster or oral presentations, showcasing their work on relevant topics. The deadline has been extended until 18 April. This is your chance to contribute to the programme of this symposia and be part of shaping the future of fisheries survey methods.
