Objectives:
- address a wide diversity of issues related to the many aspects of climate change in the oceans
- bring together experts of different disciplines to exchange ideas, observations, results and models at a global scale
- examine the science available
- consider gaps and insufficiencies in the evidence-base,
- propose priorities for future research
- derive to appropriate climate-ready policies that can help society adapt and protect the marine environment and living resources in the future
