Workshop 3 on TAF National Estimation Templates (WKTNET3) supports the practical implementation of the Transparent Assessment Framework (TAF) for producing national fisheries estimates within the Regional DataBase and Estimation System (RDBES).
WKTNET3 focuses on developing and testing templates to ensure there are robust, reproducible, and well-documented workflows for national estimators, thereby supporting the preparedness of national institutes to transition towards using the RDBES format for national estimates. Building on WKTET1 and WKTNET2 in 2025 (reports pending), WKTNET3 aims to:
Test web services for securely fetching data from RDBES and submitting national estimates in RCEF format.
Explore approaches for parameterizing TAF runs and storing snapshots of data used for each run to ensure reproducibility.
Test the design of the modified annual Fisheries Data Call Annex (DC_Annex_1) for automated use within the TAF environment.
Develop example scenarios describing the flow of data used for preparing the national estimates.
