A core part of the RDBES system is to provide raised estimates of national fishery statistics produced using robust and well-written code in the TAF structure. Providing strong and timely estimates requires national estimators to be trained in the use of TAF, and WKTNET will continue the work of developing the RDBES and the preparedness of national institutes to transition towards using the RDBES format for national estimates. Building on WKTET1 and WKTNET2 held in 2025, WKTNET3 aims to:
- Test the web services developed to fetch data from the RDBES and to save output artefacts in RCEF format.
- Suggest approaches for setting up parameters for a single TAF run and storing snapshots of the data used for each run.
- Test the design of the modified DC_Annex_1 (from the annual Fisheries Data call) for setting estimation parameters within the TAF environment.
- Prepare an example scenario for data submissions and estimations during the year.
