ICES is increasing the
role of economics and other social sciences in the organization. This open
session will discuss the work of the strategic initiative on the human
dimension (SIHD) in integrated ecosystem research and management. Our
discussion will focus on specific issues including:
- Social and economic indicators
- Integration of social, ecological, economic and governance objectives
- Does the term ‘human dimension’ best describe our mission?
