Workshop 2 on Raising Stock Data with the RDBES data model (WKRDBES-RaiseStock2) is designed to help national data submitters become proficient in working with RDBES data within the existing data call calendar. Participants will also be introduced to the Regional Catch Estimates Format (RCEF), which is used for national estimation outputs and stock coordination inputs.
After the workshop, it is hoped that participants will be able to document the complete steps involved in data extraction, cleaning, preparation, estimation, and the production of final formats and other outputs from national RDBES extracts. This documentation will follow templates from the Workshop on Transparent Assessment Framework National Estimation Templates (WKTNET) to facilitate code sharing, and where feasible, countries may develop code runnable within the Transparent Assessment Framework (TAF).
The workshop will also compile information on any aspects that limit the reproduction of existing outputs and propose a clear path forward for resolving these problems, ensuring alignment with the RDBES implementation plan. Any difficulties in reproducing national data submissions using RDBES will be recorded for future discussion and resolution.
