This workshop aims to conduct the analyses required to address the joint request on a long-term management strategy for saithe in Subareas 4 and 6, and in and Division 3a (North Sea, Rockall and West of Scotland, Skagerrak and Kattegat). This will happen via a series of meetings:
24-25 March: Update assessment model and reference points where needed; define technical details of the management strategy evaluation and conditioning of operating models.
26 March: With stakeholders, identify management objectives, scenarios, performance statistics, and key uncertainties to be tested.
12-16 October: Discuss simulation results management strategy options and sensitivity tests stipulated in the request, plus any additional results of interest.
Intersessional online meetings will be scheduled as necessary.
Registration
All ICES workshops are open for participation. Participants from public institutes, universities, governments, international organizations and conventions, public consultative bodies, industry organizations, and environmental NGOs, as well as interested individuals, are welcome to join and contribute with their expertise.
If the workshop is oversubscribed, ICES reserves the right, in consultation with the workshop chairs, to select the final workshop participants based on their expertise, gender and geographical distribution.
