This fixed-term working group will collate and evaluate data on American eel abundance, distribution, habitat, and biology in the two countries with the intention of identifying potential stock assessment methods or management approaches. Integrating indigenous knowledge systems, searching for previously unused data sources, and comparing methods for assessing eel around the world are integral to the tasks of the working group.
