Communication and effective meetings are on the agenda in June, with a set of two short courses in week 24. These will be an excellent complement to one another, but can also be taken separately.
Stock Assessment is back on the programme. This has been a regular favourite amongst course participants, and can be taken at both an introductory, and advanced level.
Design and Analysis of Catch Sampling Programmes is a new course which has been requested from many sides. Aimed at participants working with data collection, it will introduce the invaluable basic standards of working in the field.
In collaboration with the symposium on the Ecological Basis of Risk Analysis for Marine Ecosystems in Finland, an introduction course to Bayesian Inference in Fisheries Science will be held in Helsinki in June. This will be an opportunity to gain insight into the mechanism for the quantification and computation of uncertainty that is directly applicable to decision making.
Another reoccurrence will be the course on the Application of Geostatistics in an Ecosystem Approach, which was extremely popular last year, and we look forward to an equally successful course this year.
All these, and many others, are on offer this year. Please take a look at our website to read more, and to register for the courses online.
