The health and safety of our staff and community are our primary concern. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, ICES expert groups which planned to meet in ICES HQ in February will now meet online.
This decision will be evaluated in February and adjusted according to changes in pandemic rules and restrictions.
Out of house meetings must follow the respective national and host institutional guidelines and, if needed, in communication with participants of the meeting. All out of house meetings need to be organized to enable remote participation to accommodate participation for those unable to travel (irrespective the reason).
ICES Secretariat staff will be working from home, where possible. Staff and visitors who are in the Secretariat are required to wear a face mask or visor when moving around in the building. Read more in the Secretariat Working Guidelines.
We recognize that the network is being challenged and that a further postponement of returning to physical meetings increases the pressure. We thank everyone for their patience, understanding and commitment to our work during these unusual times. We will continue to send updates as they become available.
