Access to content linked to from the ICES Figshare repository under the External Publisher Licence is managed at the discretion of the individual publishers. If the content is distributed under an Open Access licence by the publisher, the reader must agree to adhere to the rules of fair use associated with that licence. If the content is distributed under another type of license, the reader must agree to those rules. ICES cannot grant access to content that may be behind a pay-wall; readers should make inquiries to their own institutional libraries regarding this. Where the content is classed as 'grey literature', i.e., reports, working papers, government documents, white papers, or evaluations, readers agree to adhere to the rules governing access and use of those individual publications. Again, readers are advised to consult their institutional libraries on this matter.
