The aim is to gather together young and senior researchers dealing with marine socio-ecological systems, and provide a space for discussion and exchange. Following an informal setup, young researchers will have the chance to present their ideas and interact with a group of senior international researchers.
Who can participate?
- PhD and Master's Degree students
- Young researchers who have obtained their PhD within the last 3 years
What is the format?
The workshop encourages open participation. Young scientists can pose general research questions, show empirical results, present methodological or conceptual bottlenecks they encounter at their work, and seek advice from senior researchers.
Each participant will have the floor for 10 minutes. The presentation should not exceed 4 minutes, leaving time for discussion. It is up to the participants to decide what format they want to use for their contributions. Innovative, non-PowerPoint formats are highly welcome! Flipcharts and markers will be available in the room. Drinks and refreshments will be provided.
How to participate?
Send an email to the session organizers, stating your intention to participate, accompanied by a research question or topic of interest. Because time and space is limited, “first come, first served” rule will be applied.
