The Advisory Department comprises 16 staff members who support the delivery of advisory products from single fish stocks to multi-species and mixed fisheries advice. The Supporting Officer will work with and support highly skilled professionals both from the Secretariat and wider ICES community in order to fulfil the requests for scientific advisory services provided by ICES.
We seek a service-minded colleague to fulfill the below responsibilities:
The appointment will be full-time (38 hours per week), for a four-year contract period starting in mid-March 2019 or as soon as possible.
ICES Secretariat staff enjoy privileges and immunities pursuant to the Host Agreement between the Government of Denmark and ICES. The salary for this role is situated at the “C4" grade which is exempt from Danish income tax and is based on, but not identical to, the United Nations common salary system. A tax-free pension scheme is available.
The ICES Staff Rules set out the conditions and principles of employment for the Secretariat staff.
