The Strategic Initiative on Integration of Early Career Scientists (SIIECS) online seminar series provides an informal and supportive forum for scientists to practise their oral presentations.
During the session, presenters receive constructive feedback while using the opportunity to get rid of their "nervous jitters" before their actual presentation.
This edition is especially aimed at those presenting at ICES Annual Science Conference, taking place 15-18 September in Brest, France.

Lucy Arnaud, Future Oceans Lab, University of Vigo, Spain
Lucy is a PhD student in marine sciences at the University of Vigo and is interested in complex socio-ecological systems and feedback mechanisms. She is contributing to an Interdisciplinary research project on the effects of climate change, which integrates ecological and social sciences to understand adaptive capacity in fishing communities.
Future dates
Our seminar series takes place every two months, on the second Tuesday of the month at 13:00–14:00 CET.
