ICES and the Nordic Marine Think Tank (NMTT) are organizing a workshop, which gives the fisheries and aquaculture stakeholders across the Nordic countries the opportunity to join forces and show support for the need for climate action.
Experts will explain how climate change alters the marine environment and what the marine sectors can do to deal with it. They will also present proposals on how these sectors can contribute to improving their actions that affect the climate in the short and long term.
The longer-term aim is to launch a Nordic Climate Change Forum for Fisheries and Aquaculture, providing Nordic fisheries and aquaculture sectors with a platform and sounding board for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and practices of how to adapt to the new climate conditions while mitigating the sector's own impacts.

Registration deadline: 1 November 2021.
