Fisheries Overviews (FOs) are ICES advice products that summarize fishing activities at ICES ecoregion-level and are key tools for advancing ecosystem-based fisheries management.
This meeting aims to:
- Review and report the data and information available and compiled for the Bay of Biscay and Iberian Waters ecoregion Fisheries Overview and identify any gaps or errors;
- Collate datasets and information resources for the Fisheries Overview;
- Review the data outputs and text displayed on the fisheriesXplorer online application for the Bay of Biscay and Iberian Waters ecoregion and make relevant edits;
- Advance development of the fisheriesXplorer app so that it can become an ICES advice product; and
- Produce a draft of the Bay of Biscay and Iberian Waters ecoregion Fisheries Overview.
