​The award is for a member of ICES who, over a sustained period, has

  • made an outstanding contribution to ICES science and its application to policy,
  • advanced ICES as a dynamic international institution, 
  • supported and mentored early-career scientists, 
  • enriched and influenced the work of ICES community, a​nd
  • enhanced the value of ICES to its stakeholders. 
Nominations for the 2026 award recipient is now closed. The recipient will be announced this September at our Annual Science Conference in Brest, France.
