โรงเรียนบ้านท่าเขา ตั้งอยู่ที่ หมู่ที่ 4 ตำบลเกาะยาวน้อย อำเภอเกาะยาว จังหวัดพังงา สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ เปิดทำการสอนตั้งแต่ชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 1 ถึงชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 เริ่มสร้างครั้งแรกเมื่อวันที่ 9 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2519 โดยได้รับความร่วมมือจากราษฎรหมู่ที่ 4 บริจาคเงินซื้อหลังคา และไม้สร้างอาคารขนาด 4 X 4 เมตร โดยนายนร มุกดา บริจาคที่ดินจำนวน 4 ไร่ - 29 ตารางวา สร้างเสร็จเมื่อวันที่ 30 ธันวาคม 2519 เปิดเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโรงเรียนบ้านน้ำจืดมีนาง ถนอม เริงกิจ มาสอน ป.1-2
