Registered participants will be invited to a reception in the Town Hall of Copenhagen on the evening of Tuesday, 1 October.

Visa
Some non-EU citizens are required to produce visas to enter Denmark. Please contact your travel agent or the nearest Danish diplomatic agency for further information.

The Certificate of Attendance will be found in the Conference bag.

SAS - Scandinavian Airlines has been appointed as the Official Airline for the 2002 ICES Annual Science Conference and Centenary.
SAS offers participants and accompanying persons special conference fares to Denmark.

Transportation from the airport
From Copenhagen Airport there are frequent trains to Copenhagen Central Station. The journey takes approx. 12 minutes and costs DKK 19.50 if the ticket is purchased before getting on the train (purchased on the train it is DKK 25.00).

Credit cards
Most hotels, restaurants, and shops in Copenhagen accept major credit cards.

Weather
The weather in Copenhagen in October is typical of a northern European autumn. Temperatures are generally around 10°C and it can be wet and windy.

Interpretation
The conference language is English. For the General Assembly and Open Lecture simultaneous interpretation will be provided in French.

Important deadlines

31 August The registration fee is DKK 750/EURO 105 up to this date. (Reduced registration fees).

After 1 September, it will be DKK 1,125/EURO 155 for everybody.
