(ICES CM 2005/O:39): Title of paper: Hotspots: Marine top predator foraging habitat predicted from a detailed understanding of temporal and spatial oceanographic processes
Comments: This presentation focused on seabird foraging behaviour reflected in the chlorophyll distribution and oceanographic processes which also maps other top predators. She combined physics, biology and seabird behaviour in an elegant way. |

“The Meaning of Fish-size Spectra, the Effects of Fishing on them a nd the Usefulness of their Slope as Indicator of Fishing Impacts”. This paper suggested, through clearly presented simulations, that slopes from linear size-spectra may provide a weak indicator of changes in size structure and there could be departures from linearity. |
