In the end of 1908 the ICES Secretariat moved to Jens Kofoeds Gade 2 in central Copenhagen, close to Nyboder. The ICES Secretariat had one apartment in the building on the ground floor.

In 1924 the ICES Secretariat, together with the Danish Fisheries Commission, moved to Strandvejen 34 near the Tuborg Brewery. The house was known as Villa Eltham. Annual meetings of the ICES Secretariat were held in the villa from 1924 until 1936.
