ICES Centenary

ICES National Marine Science Poster Competition

The competition is aimed at classes in the 7 - 10 grade who are visiting one of the 6 main Danish aquariums on a field trip in 2002. The idea is that the class or individual groups make a poster about an aspect of their trip and studies at the aquarium.

The six aquariums involved are: Kattegatcentret, Fiskeri & Søfartsmuseet, Nordsømuseet, Fjord & Bæltcentret, Danmarks Akvarium and Øresundsakvariet.

First prize for the best poster will win the class a specially organised day trip on the pride of the Danish Research fleet, the FRV Dana.

Each of the participating aquariums have also organised special trips for the best runner up poster from each aquarium.

Displaying the posters

All the posters will be displayed at the ICES Annual Science Conference in Copenhagen (October 1-5 2002). The 100th anniversary day on the 4 October will be opened by Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.

After the conference the posters will then also be displayed at the six participating aquariums around Denmark.
