Invited Plenary Lectures

This year’s Invited Plenary Lectures were delivered by these noted scientists:

Elizabeth W. North, University of Maryland, USA: “What can science tell us that fishermen don’t already know?” Abstract and Biography. ICES Inside Out asked Elizabeth to explain her choice of subject to an audience of non-experts within her field and to comment on responses that she has received from fishermen.

Poul Degnbol, DG MARE, European Commission: “Future fishery management in Europe – what are our options?” Abstract, Biography and Presentation. ICES Inside Out talked to Poul Degnbol to learn more about the background for his presentation and why this subject matter is of interest to the general public.
